Incardination of Clergy

Deacons, Priests and Bishops seeking incardination into the Reformed Christian Church International should contact the Presiding Bishop. 

Note for bishops seeking incardination:

Because of the unique and central nature of the episcopal office, the Reformed Christian Church International seeks to discern the relationship we will share with a newly incardinated bishop extensively before agreeing to permanent incardination.  Accordingly the Reformed Christian Church International has established a probationary period prior to incardination for all bishop candidates for incardination.

Bishop candidates for incardination are required to complete a two-year probationary period prior to incardination during which time they will minister as presbyters with temporary faculties.

Bishop candidates for incardination must also be actively engaged in ministry, have valid ministries associated with them in their current communion, and demonstrate leadership, pastoral skills, and good common sense.

At the conclusion of that probationary period, they must be incardinated by unanimous vote of the College of Bishops or be released.
