Bishop Gerald J. Clements, was born March 13th 1957 and was baptized Roman Catholic and attended catholic school in his youth. His spiritual formation can be credited to his love for Saint Francis of Assisi. Bishop Clements received his theological education through the Roman Catholic Church at the Franciscan Seminary in Andover MA as well as many years of independent study in various spiritual paths as Celtic, American Indian and Eastern religions.

Bishop Clements was ordained to the priesthood on May 17th 1997 and then elevated to the order of Bishop on October 5th 2002. As a priest and bishop, Bishop Clements has always believed that the church must remain grounded in the teaching of the ancient church of Jesus Christ and continue the work which Jesus began, and has entrusted to his disciples. As Christians but especially as members of the clergy we must live our life in a manner that draws people closer to God, not separate them from God. Bishop Clements firmly believes in the sacraments of the church and that they are for all people not just a chosen few.

Bishop Clements, as with most priest of the greater Independent Catholic Church must supplement his income through working in a secular career. This is an asset to ministry not a liability. To truly serve the people of God we must walk in our every day life with the people of God. Bishop Clements serves as a computer engineer and now works as the Director of Customer Service for a major international computer company.

Bishop Clements is a married priest and resides in Lynn, Mass with his lovely wife of 27 years Fran. Bishop Clements and Fran also take great pride in their family caring for Fran’s parents at their home and helping to raise their nieces and nephews. As the Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Catholic Church International of New England Bishop Clements firmly believes that there is finally a viable alternative for Christians who are seeking God’s blessing in their lives.
